FAMOUS QUOTE

My dad has always taught me these words: care and share. That's why we put on clinics. The only thing I can do is try to give back. If it works, it works.

Our Unique CPG Program

The golf swing puts an unusually high demand on the body. Back, elbow, wrist, hip and knee pain, are the most common physical complaints among golf professional and recreational golfers, albeit for a variety of reasons.

Hence, in order for a comprehensive program designed to suit you and your goal, you will need to come to our office for a full golf specific evaluation.

Our 7 Step Treatment Approach
(Estimated time needed: 2 to 3 hours)

  1. You will be given a complete Neuromusculoskeletal (NMS) Examination.
  2. You will be checked for areas of increased or decreased mobility.
  3. We check for areas of prior injuries.
  4. We will address any presence of degenerative changes.
  5. We evaluate your golf swing from a biomechanical viewpoint.
  6. Finally, we assess your goals and design a comprehensive program together with chiropractic therapy.
  7. We incorporate strategic stretches and exercises to help achieve the golf of your dreams.

To further elaborate:

NMS Examination

Generally called a physical examination, we need to take into account your age and physical limitations and compare what we find to what you want out of your golf game. In most cases this fills the requirement that you should seek advice from your physician before embarking on an exercise program. First thing is finding out about your health history. We then check vital signs, range of motion, reflexes, muscles and joints.

Golf swing analysis

We need to know your most common swing faults: slice, hook, fat, thin, etc. Then we examine your golf swing at many stages: 1/4, 1/2 and full back swing, down swing, impact and follow-through and compare the results to common biomechanical faults.

Assessing goals and developing your personal program

No two golfers have the same physical make up and the same golf goals. Some golfers will need some sort of flexibility and stability training while others may want to train to achieve a spot on a professional tour. Your personal program may take 6 to 12 weeks or it may take longer. Everyone who enters CPG’s conditioning program leaves with the tools to maintain all he or she has gained.
